Elliot drove all the way to Lily's house, feeling as nervous as hell. After all, he and Lily had decided like...two years ago that they would loathe each other for eternity, and now... they were trying again.
Sighing, he made his way to the door and knocked lightly.

Lily heard the knocks and set her book on the table. She opened the door and smiled shyly. "Hey..."she mumbled, giving Elliot a hug.

Lily just cried harder. She had to tell him. Now or never...so she pulled closer to him and whispered into his ear.
"I...I'm pregnant..."she finally whispered and then pulled away to run up to her room and lock herself in before seeing his reaction.

Elliot froze completely. That...was unexpected in every sense of the word. He just dropped on the couch and held a hand to his forehead, waiting to pass out of shock...
And he didn't.
It took him exactly ten minutes to calm down completely and go to Lily's room. He knocked the door. "...Lily...?"he tried, unsure if she'd answer him.

She didn't answer. She had thrown herself over the bed and was crying silently, letting her tears fall on the pillow. "...What?"she finally asked after a while.

She stood up, shaking lightly, and went to open the door. She didn't dare to let him see her face...so she just looked down and let her tears fall to the ground.

He stayed silent for a while, but in the end pulled her into his arms, kissed the top of her head, rubbed her back...
After a while, he only managed to say, "I'm sorry..."in a quiet whisper.
