[Kyle Spin]

"I didn't do it for you," he retorted, his anger flashing. "I just don't needed another reason for Tawni to hate me."

[Crash Bandicoot]

He frowned before rolling his eyes. "Whatever. She doesn't hate you, stupid so once you get out of here, go talk to her. She's already tried to kill me for checking up on her", he noted irritably, rubbing the back of his neck where Tawni had hurled an electric pencil sharpener at though it didn't hit him.

[Kyle Spin]

Kyle rolled his eyes as well, his tone bitter. "Right, I bet she'll try to kill me too."

[Crash Bandicoot]

Well maybe we'd all be better off, he wanted to say but held back. That wasn't a very nice thought. Sighing, Crash yawned some. "Worth the risk."

[Kyle Spin]

Kyle nodded down at the ospital bed he was laying in. "Well I can't exactly leave so you'll just have to convince her to come see me."

[Crash Bandicoot]

He glanced at the door and sighed, knowing that Kyle was right but then if he moved, it wasn't like he was gonna die. But then Crash didn't know that and he groaned, kind of dreading having to go back to Tawni. In the end, he managed to get her to come down and left the two of them in the room while he went to talk to one of the doctors.

Tawni sat against the wall, staring at the wall across from her and frowning some, not really looking at Kyle.

Kyle shifted uncomfortly in the bed, the silence between them almost to hard to handle. "I, uhm.." he dragged off, not exactly sure what to say to her. What if she just started yelling at him?

[Tawni Hanson]

Her eyes narrowed some when he started talking and she could hear that he was, in fact, talking but the words sounded muffled, like she was underwater or there was cotton in her ears. She too didn't know what to say to him but the silence was a harsh reminder of what she'd been doing right before Crash dragged her back down here, so staying silent was out.

Tawni lifted her eyes so that anyone who walked in the room would think she was looking right at him when really, her eyes were out of focus, not really looking at anything.

"What?" she pressed, her voice kind of hard and bordering on demanding.

[Kyle Spin]

Her tone surprised him, besides the fight he wasn't used to her acting this way towards him. Kyle sighed, lifting a hand to tug at his hair relentlessly as he thougth of what exactly to say. He wasn't about to apologize was he? Was he the one at fault? Was she? Who the hell was at fault, if anyone? Did it really even matter at this point?

He looked to the side, his gaze meeting hers but he could tell Tawni wasn't focusing and she wasn't really there. Now he wondered if he should even bother saying anything, not sure she would even listen to him after everything. Hell, he doubted she even wanted to be here right now, Crash did have to drag her to come see him.

So now one question ran through Kyle's mind. It burned all his other thoughts and emotions away until there were only two things left. Guilt and the question that refused to stop circling around in his mind.

"Do you hate me?" he asked, his voice loud and clear incase she was too far for him to reach her.

Kyle's question rang through her ears fairly quickly and so she narrowed her eyes more, as if that would somehow cause them to come back, only much slower this time. Despite how fast the words processed in her head, she was able to comprehend what he was asking her. She didn't want to answer him.

Mainly because she didn't know. She was definitely feeling a helluva lot of hatred but...wasn't exactly sure who she'd intended to direct it towards. The doctors...Kyle, Crash...Herself? Any one of those would've worked.

But maybe it would be better. Better to just hate him and then none of this would be happening. She'd just stay away from him. It was possible. She could do it...or maybe she wasn't thinking that. Maybe it was her concious talking. "I don't know", she muttered, still not fully looking at him. "It's possible that I might. What about you?"

[Kyle Spin]

He sighed, not at all the answer he had hoped for. "Do I hate you?" he thought aloud. he almost laughed at the thought. "I doubt the feeling I feel is hate.... But what exactly I'm not sure."

[Tawni Hanson]

She sighed and cast her gaze to the floor, feeling hopelessly confused. She hated it. But something had been driving her crazy, making her insane while she had been holed up in Crash's room. She couldn't look at him as she spoke. "So what you told me", she murmured, straining for her voice to be louder and failing, "When you said 'God forbid I show you how much I love you! Or better yet...show you how much I loved you'...what was that? I...don't understand. You don't hate me, don't love me. What the hell? You have to feel something", she told him, her voice hardening again.

[Kyle Spin]

He shook his head, hating what he had said to her. "I was angry.. no, I was furious when I said that." Kyle ran a shaky hand through his hair. "You really shouldn't believe what I saw when I'm like that. Anything that comes to mind I just blurt out, despite weither it's true or not." He looked at her with his dark, sad eyes. "Please don't tell me you actually believed me when I said that."

[Tawni Hanson]

Tawni allowed herself to meet his eyes and instantly stiffened, looking quickly back to the floor. "I was scared...I just let myself believe everything we were saying because I thought it would be better...or at least I figured that was how it was supposed to be." She tried to look at him agaian only this time, she kept her gaze steady. "That's the only reason why I argued with you...was because I was sure you were gonna die and I was terrified of that."

[Kyle Spin]

He smiled just slightly. "You thought I was gonna die?" he asked, his ton lifting a little as he kept their gaze as well. "Silly girl, you should know I'm tougher than that."

[Tawni Hanson]

She shrugged. "Somebody died the last time Crash butted his big-ass nose into my life...but I guess I should've known...I wasn't thinking right!" she managed to get out.

[Kyle Spin]

He motioned slowly with his hand, wanting her to come closer. Every part of him yearned to see her smile again, begged for her loving laugh. "Time never repeats itself," he reminded her quietly, his thoughts traveling to what she had told him about her last boyfriend.

[Tawni Hanson]

Tawni looked at his hand for a long while before she actually got up and came over to him, standing by his bedside. "It can come pretty damn close", she muttered.

[Kyle Spin]

"I won't stop you if you want to hit me," he said suddenly. "I couldn't blame you.. and you have every right to. No, you have ever right to do more than hit me. You should scream some more, punch or kick me. Tell me you hate me," he ranted nervously.

[Tawni Hanson]

Her eyes narrowed and as long as he was offering, she did decide to take him up on it. She let her fist hit his shoulder but lightly. "Why didn't you tell me about your plan to fake your death?" She punched him again on his other shoulder, putting a little more force behind it. "Why did you scare me half to death multiple times since we've been here at the hospital?!" She moved to punching his chest, each time she hit him putting more force behind the blow. "Why do you drink until you're wasted?! Howcome you didn't pay Crash back for shooting you?!?! I hate you!!! I hate you, I hate you, I hate you, hate you!!!!!!!![/i]"

[Kyle Spin]

He flinched away from her screaming, biting his tongue each time she hit him again. As she swung at him again, he caught her hand. "Why aren't you yelling at me for everyhting I said?" he asked her sadly. "Why do you point out things like... that," he said, not sure how to quite explain them.

[Tawni Hanson]

She blinked and then as soon as he asked that, she wondered the same. "...I don't know. Maybe I've been wanting to get some things off my chest for a while...but since we're on the subject, why'd you say those things? And I still don't know if you hate me or love me or whatever the hell your feeling...and by the way, my shoulder and part of my back still hurt like hell from when you rammed me against the wall."

[Kyle Spin]

Kyle frowned, entwining his fingers with hers as he sat up slowly. "I'm going to be completely honest with you right now Tawni," he warned her before launching out into a rant.

"I was angry, hell, I was really really anger and for what exactly I'm not sure. Maybe it was because I was confused, or jealous, or just offended that you called me sex- what ever the hell it was."

He shook his head sadly. "I lost it last night Tawni... and I tried so hard not to. I never wanted you to see me like that, never wanted to hurt you... but I did. I wouldn't blame you for hating me right now, but I promise you with every part of me that I love you Tawni. I've told you a hundred times and each time I meant it. When we had.. when we made love.. it was because I loved you. I wanted you to know how much I love you. I wanted you to feel loved..." he paused, not sure how to continue. Might as well go with the apologies.

"I'm sorry if that's not what you wanted.. and I'm sorry for getting anger. I'm sorry for saying what I said and I'm sorry for ever doubting our love. I'm sorry for worrying you here in the hospital and most of all I'm sorry for loving you so god damn much."

[Tawni Hanson]

Tawni looked down at their hands while she let everything he said sink in. She'd make apologies too--she wanted everything to be ok between them again. "Then I'll be honest with you too. I'm sorry that I offended you when I called you that...I guess by now you know I wasn't thinking right and I was scared and just said whatever I wanted..." She stopped to trace a star on his hand with her finger and kind of lost her thought while making the outline, though she snapped out of it soon enough and continued.

"So I take back everything I screamed at you...I didn't mean it. And you had a right to be angry. I should've just came to you instead of Crash and maybe you wouldn't be in this hell hole...and please don't say that. That you're sorry for loving me so much." She stopped talking and was fascinated once again by the pattern she was tracing on his hand.

Kyle watched their hands as well, a small smile forming on his lips. "I'm crazy about you Tawni." he said. "And I stress the crazy part. You really do make me crazy.. but I guess that's just another thing I love about you. Well.." he blushed slightly. "I love every part of you."

[Tawni Hanson]

At his words, a tear rolled down her cheek as if on cue and she angrily brushed it away before coming closer and throwing her arms around him, closing her eyes. "I love you too...I'm sorry..." she mumbled.

[Kyle Spin]

He hugged her back just as fiercly, wincing only slightly at the pain it caused. But he didn't care, fuck the pain. He just wanted her. "I'm sorry too," he said, kissing her cheek as he held her close. "I really, really, really am."

[Tawni Hanson]

Tawni grinned softly and nodded. "Yeah...me too." After a while, she pulled back to look at him. "Did they tell you when you might be getting out of here?"

[Kyle Spin]

HE shook his head slowly, his eyes metting hers. "No.. they said they wanted to run some sort of tests.. I dunno, it was confusing."

She rolled her eyes in impatience. "How many tests do they need to run? I think if you feel ok enough to talk, you're pretty much on the road to recovery."
