"Let's see... parents are divorced. Recently I slept with Brett Velez so Zane is pissed off at me, cause I slept with Zane before Brett and I was kinda going out with Zane when he found out. Um.. I am obsessed with art and music and anything like that.. And I'm currently pregnant and have no idea what to do. And I just moved back here from Arizona," she finished. "Yeah I know I made dumb choices but it doesn't fuckin matter!" She scowled and rolled onto her side.

Neil raised his eyebrows, taken back a little by what had happened to this girl. He sat in thought for a while, letting everything she said sink in. "Uhm...Lassie. Listen, I know you've probably heard this a thousand times before but...everything's gonna be ok. I promise. Alright? No matter how many times you've heard that before..." His words trailed off as he lowered his eyes. He couldn't count how many times he'd heard that empty promise.
"I..." Giving a big sigh, Neil rested his chin in his hands, looking over at Lauren. "I want you to know things will look up."
