Ari's House

[Crash Bandicoot]

"So what've you been up to?" he asked as he kicked off his shoes and popped the first movie in the dvd player. Then he came into the kitchen, opened the fridge and grabbed a can of whipped cream, emptying most of the can into his mouth.

[Arianna Rivers]

Ari shrugged. "Not much... been laying low for a while... what about you? How's Kyra doing?"

[Crash Bandicoot]

Crash put the can back in the fridge and closed it with his foot, then hopped onto a counter and looked at her with a shrug. "Tired but I guess that's normal for her. Atom's a damn trip. You know that kid put his whole hand in his mouth and then smacked me in the face? And then he had the nerve to laugh about it."

[Arianna Rivers]

Ari chuckled. "Well, he is half yours," she said playfully.

[Crash Bandicoot]

"The hell is that supposed to mean?" he grumbled. "I do not smack people."

Ari laughed. She walked over and smacked him in the knee. "I don't mean it in a bad way. I just mean that it's so like you to laugh at people's pain, pain that YOU caused," she said, making sure to say it in a joking tone.

Crash stared at Ari for a long while and then smirked, leaning over to flick her forehead before laughing about it. "Like that, ya?"

Ari rubbed her forehead, scowling. "Unfortunately." The microwave dinged and the popcorn stopped spinning. She took the bags out and poured them into the bowls, running back to the fridge to grab more butter. She cut half of a butter stick and put it in a microwavable bowl, turning on the machine to melt the butter.

Crash almost gagged at seeing how much butter she put into the bowl. "Are you trying to kill us? That was like the whole stick!" He reached into a bowl and tossed some popcorn into his mouth, looking at the microwave in disgust.

Ari grinned evily and rubbed her hands together. "Mwaha," she said, pouring the extra butter on the popcorn when it was done in the microwave. She repeatedly tossed the popcorn in the bowl, reaching over to coat all of it with salt.

[Crash Bandicoot]

He slowly shook his head, shooting Ari with a disbelieving look. "Fine. Fiiiiiine", he drug out and started pouring some root beer he'd found into two glasses. "Just don't come cryin' to me when you're on your deathbed at age 35. Cuz y'know what I'll say? HA!"

[Arianna Rivers]

Ari stuck her tongue out at him. "I like to live on the edge, y'know?" she said, chuckling and walking back to the living room.

[Crash Bandicoot]

Crash smirked at that and followed her back to the living room. "Right. I completely forgot. What's more edgier than an unhealthy lifestyle? Cuz that's obviously the hip new way to roll." He stuck his tongue right back at her and collapsed onto the couch. "Aparently I've been doing it wrong all these years."

Ari laughed harder than she had since the breakup. She put the popcorn on the couch and walked over to the tv, putting the first Saw movie in the DVD player and turning it on.

[Crash Bandicoot]

Crash grabbed the bowl of popcorn and popped a few in his mouth, then propped his feet up on the table in front of him. He had to chuckle a little at that too and shook his head. "Yes. You are the edgiest person I know, Arianna Rivers. It was a compliment in case you weren't aware."

[Arianna Rivers]

"Thaaank you," she said, curtsying with an imaginary skirt. "How have you been?"

[Crash Bandicoot]

He chuckled, shaking his head before taking a piece of popcorn and rolling it between his thumb and middle finger. "I'm alright. Though I was playing with Lynx the other day and I swear that cat has no meaning of the word 'plaaaaaaaaay'." He lifted his shirt and showed Ari the long scratch that ran the length of his back.

Ari's eyes widened. "Oh my gosh! Are you alright? Do you need antiseptic? I have a Band-Aid!" she said, morphing into mother-mode.

[Crash Bandicoot]

Crash looked back at her, his eyes widening too and he smirked. "Chill, Ari. It's just a scratch. And I doubt there's a band-aid long enough to cover it anyway."

"I have multiples!" she said, rummaging through her purse and pulling out Bugs Bunny band-aids.

[Crash Bandicoot]

He stared at the band-aid in disgust and scooted over on the couch, away from Ari. "Nu-uh. Like hell that thing's going on my back. Bugs Bunny my ass."

[Arianna Rivers]

Ari grinned. "What? Do you have a scratch there too?" she asked, giggling.

[Crash Bandicoot]

Crash's eyes narrowed playfully as he gathered a fistful of popcorn and chucked it at her. "Ha-ha. Yeah right. I'm not that stupid. Though I don't doubt your ability to hurt yourself in unusual places. 'Crash! I hurt my eyelid!' I'm just waitin for that one."

Ari laughed and pushed his shoulder. "Shut up. And don't throw popcorn!" she said, chucking a piece at him.

[Crash Bandicoot]

He chuckled and pulled the piece out his hair, licked it, then tossed it back at Ari. "Fine. I won't throw popcorn. All ya had to do was say so." Crash picked up another piece, licked it too, then threw it at her.

Ari squealed and pushed him off the couch. "EWWWWWW!" she said, giggling.

[Crash Bandicoot]

"AUGH!" Crash shouted in surprise as he hit the floor. He sighed and shook his head. "Oh Ari. Really?" His hand shot up and yanked Ari off with him before jumping back on the couch and laying across it, taking all the space.

Ari got up and sat on his stomach, sighing contentedly. "You're comfy, you know that?" she asked, resting her head on her hands.

[Crash Bandicoot]

Crash made a sound in surprise and looked up at Ari like she was crazy, which she was. "Oh am I? Is this how you usually watch a movie? Remind me never to go to a theatre with you." He smiked and poked her in the side.

Ari had completely forgotten about the movie. "Shh!" she said, covering his face with a pillow. "I'm trying to watch a movie!"
