He laughed and lightly shoved her back. "Yeah. Shamone", he said, getting up and nodding. "Let's go face Spikes back home."

Ari groaned and stood up, stretching her back. "My brain says that's the logical thing to do, but emotionally, that's probably the last thing on my list of things to do today. And I'm dreading it," she said, running a hand through her hair.

Sy grinned and shook his head. "It won't be that bad. Actually...won't be bad at all. Crash isn't gonna hurt us...well...he won't hurt you." He started walking back the way they'd come, shoving his hands in his pockets with the ghost of a smile on his face. "Though if you're not too scared of Bandicoot's wrath, we could have a little more fun before we go", he offered, thinking suddenly of something else they could do.

"Just wanna grab some dinner. Bucca", he suggested, naming one of the Italian places. "That ok? I'm starving", he said truthfully, scratching the back of his head. "We can bring a doggy bag back for Crash."

Instead of pretending to be shocked as he'd first intended, Sy smirked and shrugged nonchalantly. "I guess I don't exactly come off that way but I really do dig that kind of stuff. That's...ok, right? We can stop there?" he clarifyed, glancing at Ari out of the corner of his eye.

He smirked. "Fine by me." On the walk over, Sy stretched and ended up resting his hands behind his head. He closed his eyes, a smile splayed across his face. "Y'know, you're different from how I thought you'd be."

"It's just...all the other girls that Crash went for in the past were either clingy or psycho. Or both. You're just...normal. I don't get it, I guess." Sy reached into his pocket and pulled out a pack of smokes, balanced one between his teeth, then fished around in his other pocket for the lighter as he tried to make it catch.

Ari shrugged. She paused for a minute or so. "Maybe Crash is looking for normal. I mean, nothing else has worked, so hey... if it works," she said, wrapping her arms around herself in a hug.

When he finally got the flame to show, Sy held it to the end of the cigarette, inhaled for a while as he thought, then took it out and blew the smoke into the sky. "So you like him too, huh?"
