"Brain freeze", she explained, glaring at the water-ice in her hands.

"I never wanted it to betray me!" she screamed, glaring at it still. But she finished it, on account of she didn't want to put Kakashi's good will to waste.

Kakashi: [singing quietly] "There's a place off Ocean Avenue Where I used to sit and talk with you We were both 16 and it felt so right Sleeping all day, staying up all night Staying up all night
There's a place on the corner of Cherry Street We would walk on the beach in our bare feet We were both 18 and it felt so right Sleeping all day, staying up all night Staying up all night
If I could find you now things would get better We could leave this town and run forever Let your waves crash down on me and take me away
There's a piece of you that's here with me It's everywhere I go, it's everything I see When I sleep, I dream and it gets me by I can make believe that you're here tonight That you're here tonight
If I could find you now things would get better We could leave this town and run forever I know somewhere, somehow we'll be together Let your waves crash down on me and take me away
I remember the look in your eyes When I told you that this was goodbye You were begging me not tonight Not here, not now We're looking up at the same night sky And keep pretending the sun will not rise Be together for one more night Somewhere, somehow
If I could find you now things would get better We could leave this town and run forever I know somewhere, somehow we'll be together Let your waves crash down on me and take me away"

Tawni smiled when she realized Kakashi was singing. She recognized the song and started singing with him. "Don't be scared to just belt it out!" she told him, her singing rising louder and louder. "I love this song!"
((I really do!))

Standing up, Tawni stretched and looked out at the waves, wishing she knew how to surf. It'd be so much fun...maybe she'd ask Neil to teach her...
Looking at Kakashi, she smirked. "Don't suppose you know how to surf, do you?"

((boo...c ya later, then))
She nodded and grabbed her board as she waded out in the water, wincing still from the cold. She placed it in the water and sat down on it, looking up at Kakashi. "So I...just stand on it now?"

~Time skip~
Tawni grabbed a bottle of coke from her fridge, trying desperately to calm Crash down. She rolled her eyes, not believing how much of a brat he could be as she pressed her cell harder to her ear. "Ok, ok, breathe and just listen to me for a...CRASH, CALM DOWN!" she yelled.
She groaned and stomped up the stairs to her room, collapsing on her bed and staring at the ceiling that was plastered with glow-in-the-dark stickers.
"Ok, now tell me from the beginning...", Tawni directed comfortingly.

Kyle sighed nervously as he showed up to her house.. well the house he also used to live in. He growled as he realised it was begining to rain. "Fucking water," he mumbled, the rain only reminding him of that one time with her in the park.
He sighed again, something he found himself going quite a lot now. He had waited a week, not sure she would ever want to see his face again, but it was worth a shot. She meant more than him than he could probably ever explain.
Closing his eyes, Kyle leaned forward and knocked on the door.

Tawni glanced at her bedroom door before putting the phone down without a word of explination to Crash and slid the banister down. She landed swiftly, laughing some to herself as she slid to the door and opened it. Her smile quickly faded when she was staring straight at Kyle. Her hand twitched on the knob, itching to slam it in his face. Instead, she just looked at him.

He didn't say anything for a full minute, just stood there and stared at her with an almost relieved look. "May I... talk to you please?" he asked, his voice low and already defeated. ((brb, don't go anywhere. lol ))

He stuck his foot in front of the door to stop her from closing it fully. "Please?" he asked again, peering inbetween the foot wide crack.

"I walked here," he told her. "From the other side of town." He didn't fight against her, just let her try to slam the door on his foot. "And now it's raining... are you really going to make me walk home in this? I could catch Lemonia."

((brb))
She sighed a little from the other side of the door and was about to snap something to him when she realized how stupid that would be. It wasn't like she wanted him to die or something. Tawni stepped away from the door and walked towards the kitchen, her back to him, silent.

He opened the door in relief and stepped insode, running a nervous hand through his wet hair. Following her into the kitchen, he leaned against the door frame, folding his arms over his chest. "Are you going to just ignore me?"

Tawni narrowed her eyes and opened up the fridge, pulling out an apple. She bit into it, then slammed the door closed with her foot. "Give me a reason not to", she grumbled, taking another bite.

He took a deep, unsteady breath. "Tawni," he started, his eyes glued to the floor. "Do you remember what I'm afraid of?" he asked, hoping she would get his hint.

"Right at this second? No", she answered sternly. She found her mind was in complete chaos, blocking out any kind of reason or memory of anything. She took another hard bite of the red fruit.
