He shrugged. "We'll see what happens.". Taking her hand in his, he started down the street. "Okay, now we go get my shirt."

~Time Skip!~
Tawni reached in her pocket and pulled out her key, then slid it in the lock and opened the door. "Hey you guys!" she called. "Is that Kirby character with you?" her mom called from upstairs. Tawni laughed quietly, looked back at Kyle for a split second, laughed again then responded. "Uh, yeah. For dinner, 'member?"

Soon enough, her mom came down the stairs and grinned at Kyle. "Hello...Kirby." Another burst of laughter from Tawni. Her mom gave her a weird look before smiling again. "Hope you like steak." Tawni laughed again.

[Kyle Spin]

Kyle tossed Tawni a bit of an uncomfortable look. This was the first time seeing his.. well, her mother in two years. "Steak is fine," he mumbled quickly, forcing a smile. He leaned over adn bowed, purposely over doing it. "And I'm sure it will be fantastic if you made it."

[Tawni Hanson]

She laughed and placed a hand over her heart. "Well thank you, Kirby! And there's no need to be so formal. We'll talk more when dinner's ready, ok?" She disappeared back into the kitchen but she was muttering some things under her breath about Kyle's 'name'. Tawni couldn't hold in another laugh and started laughing again, shaking her head.

[Kyle Spin]

Kyle pouted and flicked the side of her head. "Keep it up kido," he mumbled a bit unhappily. "And you'll be living in this house for the rest of your life."

[Tawni Hanson]

"Hey hey hey!" Tawni turned to give Kyle a disbelieving look. "That's not something anyone would like to hear! You wouldn't really keep me out, would you?"

[Kyle Spin]

He gave her a blank stare for a moment and then cracked a small smile. "I suppose not," he said before leaning down to give her a small kiss.

[Tawni Hanson]

She grinned at him before her mom came back in with dinner. "Here you go, kids! Eat as much as you'd like, ok Kyle?" For a second, she stiffened and something wavered in her eyes but it was only for a split second before Tawni's mom was all-smiles again. "I mean Kirby! Hell, what am I saying? That's what I meant. Sorry..."

[Kyle Spin]

Kyle stood still, unmoving as his jaw clenced tightly and he watched his- her mother. "It's fine," he mumbled, forcing a small smile. He quickly turned away, avoiding eye contact with anyone. "Smells great Mrs. Hanson."

[Tawni Hanson]

"...Thank you, Kirby." She grinned at him before sitting down. Tawni bit the inside of her cheek and without thinking, reached for the butter and swiped her finger over it, then turned and smeared it over Kyle's forehead. She laughed. "Tawni!" Her mother snapped.

[Kyle Spin]

KYle look at her with surprise, not understanding why she would do something ao odd. Then it clicked. She had simply been trying to cheer him up. Was it that obvious he had been uncomfortable?

Cracking a small smile, he whiped it off his forehead and licked his finger. "Hmmm," he hummed, glancing over at her mother. "No worries Mrs, Tawni just knows I really enjoy my dinner on my face." He chuckled. "Well... sometimes."

[Tawni Hanson]

"That's right Mommy", Tawni responded. "Just trying to make him feel more comfortable." Laughing to herself, she shook her head and continued eating. Tawni's mom, Carol, gave Kyle a blank stare before she laughed some. "Well since you're here, why not tell me about yourself?"

[Kyle Spin]

Kyle scanned his brain for something to say, anything. "Well.. I live with my uncle, but he's out a lot on business and I work at a local car garage." He smiled sweetly at her. "But there's not too much to tell otherwise."

[Tawni Hanson]

She grinned. "So you wanna be a mechanic, then?"

[Kyle Spin]

He shrugged indifferantly. "At the moment it's the only thing going for me."

[Tawni Hanson]

"Oh don't say that. I'm sure you're great at a bunch of other things too." Tawni looked over at her mom, then at Kyle and frowned some. Her mom seemed a bit tense but she could just be imagining that. She abruptly stood up from the table with a quick "I'm full", and took Kyle's hand, dragging him over to the living room. "Uh...Tawni?" her mother muttered kind of angrily.

Kyle looked down at Tawni, a confused look clear on his face. "Tawni? What's up all the sudden?"

[Tawni Hanson]

"What do you mean?" she asked, setting up her 360 but turning her head to the side so she couldn't see him. "I wanna play DDR!"

[Kyle Spin]

He shook his head, leaning against the side of the couch as he waited. The house smelled the same as it always had, looked the same... was the same. Minus one person. His stomach twisted as he thought of the memories. His eyes grew distant as he mind ran backwars, everything overflowing into him at once.

[Tawni Hanson]

Scowling, Tawni stood up and got close to Kyle's face. "Hello? Which song, space cadet?" She chuckled a little.

[Kyle Spin]

He blinked and looked at her, his eyes still distant but at the least focusing on her. He opened his mouth to suggest a song, but instead closed it and just shrugged.

[Tawni Hanson]

Just as she was about to answer, the door creaked open and Mr. Hanson walked in with a sigh. "Stupid office people", he muttered before walking by the living room and noticing Kyle. He stopped in his tracks and blinked a few times, confused. "Uh...hello?"

[Kyle Spin]

Kyle's hand tightened at the sight of him. It gripped the couch cuision tightly behin dhis back as he narrowed his eyes. He felt a burning in the back of his throat as he felt the urge to curse out every dispicable word he could think of at the man in front of him.

He merely nodded his head once. "Hello," he half growled, half whispered.

[Tawni Hanson]

"Uh...this is my friend, so be nice Big Guy", Tawni said jokingly, trying to ease some of the tension away from the situation. Her dad just frowned at Kyle and kind of scowled. "This is...your friend?...He got a name?"

[Kyle Spin]

Kyle swallowed his pride and nodded politely, his face easing into a nice smile. "I'm Kirby, nice to meet you sir."

[Tawni Hanson]

He looked Kyle over for a second before forcing a smile of his own. "Nice to meet you...you in love with my daughter, Kirby?"

[Kyle Spin]

He looked at him, a bit surprised. "Yes," he said rather bluntly.

[Tawni Hanson]

Before he could respond, Tawni grinned. "So I'm gonna move out and live with him. Yay! Thanks a bunch you guys!" There was silence for a while until her dad looked at Kyle. "What?"

[Kyle Spin]

Kyle put his hands up protectively, his eyes widening in surprise just as well. "I.. um.. would.. uhh.." he blushed in embarressment. "Tawni and I would like to live together and there's nothing you can do to stop us," he rushed out.

[Tawni Hanson]

The silence wore on for a while until her mother interrupted with a light laugh. "You're not serious, are you?" Tawni pursed her lips. Maybe she shouldn't have come out and said it like that. "Yeah, Mommy why wouldn't we be?"

"No", her father said curtly.
