She followed Brett on line to ride the tea cups. They looked pretty fun but she was nervouse seeing all the kids inside already spinning the cups. She'd never ridden them before of course because she had never been to an amusement park before.
"Who is Blaize?" she asked Brett after he mentioned the name.

Hearing about Blaize's parents made her feel a bit depressed but it wasn't unusal. Her father lived on the other side of the country and her mother was too busy with her job traveling around the world to even see her. So the thought of how terrible some parents could be always bothered her. When she heard him say 'he's crazy' she looked up at Brett curiously.
"Crazy? What do you mean he's crazy? Is that just an exaggeration or is he ..mentally ill?" she asked.

"Um.. well, here's the thing. He doesn't believe me when I tell him that his mom died and he.. kind of imaginges that's she's still here. He'll walk in having a conversation with the air, saying he's talking to his mom." He shrugged. "He got out of the asylum a few months ago," he said, sitting down on the ride once the employee let them in.

She followed and sat across from him on the teapot. "He may know that you are telling the truth but wants to deny it because he doesn't want it to be reality. That's common with deaths of loved ones.." she said.

He nodded. "Yeah that's exactly what he does. And I guess I do care for him, he just gets so annoying and won't quit the drugs..." he said, shaking his head. "He's also just hyperactive."

"Oh, maybe I could meet him sometime.." she said though she wasn't sure why. Even hanging here with Brett was strange. She would've stayed home the entire day if it weren't for meeting him outside of the cafe. Now she wanted to meet someone else new.
"I wouldn't know anything about hyperactivity.." she started. "..I mean, I know what hyperactive means but I've never experienced it nor do I have family or friends who are like that." she said and hoped she'd meet Blaize sometime.

"..It sounds like something a small child would do.." she said as she thought about it but the second the ride started she felt herself become nervous again.
"This one isn't as fast as the rollercoaster..is it?" she asked nervously as the ride started. It was slow as it started up but she knew she couldn't trust that.

She wanted to believe him when he said that but she could see that he was turning the wheel faster and faster. She realized she wasn't holding onto anything and slid right onto Brett's side as she stumbled to find something to keep her still which happened to be Brett's arm. When she looked up after her eyes had been tightly shut, she realized what she was doing and let go quickly.
"I'm sorry!" she said quickly as she turned her back to him to hide a blush.
