Zane's House

[Zane Tapp]

Zane silently looked up at her, shaking his head slowly for a long moment. "I'm illergic to most meds anyway.. we don't want to take any risk." He sighed. "Sex helps though," he admitted, hoping she'd be able to see his view of it with an open mind. "It lets me feel so.. alive. Otherwise I'm nothing. I'm already dead on the inside."

Lilith stared at him for a while before sitting down in the chair that was set up in the room. She knew she probably shouldn't be saying this because it might lead to a fight but she couldn't help it and shot him a disbelieving look. "Ok...I get that sex helps you...cope? But do you seriously think that you have no kind of purpose whatsoever without it? You feel...dead?"

[Zane Tapp]

"Pretty much," he muttered. "What reason do I have to feel alive?"

[Lilith Celejay]

By now she wanted to smack him and her hands curled in anger. "Y'know, people would kill to just smack you right now. Like me! Don't you have any pride in your own life?"

[Zane Tapp]

"No," he muttered, ignoring her anger. "Who would take pride in fucking girls every other day and making almost all of them hate you in the end... scratch that.. ALL of them hate me."

[Lilith Celejay]

Lilith snapped at him. "Who the hell's fault is that?! Maybe we should just have the doctors castr..." She cut herself off before she could finish and looked down. "I get how you feel. But...what's wrong with just friendship? Every girl you see you just have to go after? Having girls who are just friends is fine too. Ever think that that's part of the problem?" she mumbled.

[Zane Tapp]

"I have," he breathed, sighing tiredly. "But you don't understand.. how can I get close to anyone if I'm going to die in a few years. It's better that everyone hates me.. I don't want anyone to mourn over my death.. I don't want to put anyone through that pain and loss.." He ran a hand through his messy hair, which was currently light brown with blonde highlights on the tips. "If I just use girls.. then at least I get to experience some sort of love.. some sort of connection for just enough time.." His eyes teared up slightly and he bit his lower lip, feeling himself get worked up as a lump formed in his throat. "It's just.. it's n-not f-fair," he stammered. "Nothing is e-ever good enough.. I try so h-hard to stay s-strong.. be e-emotionless.." He closed his eyes and looked away from her in shame, taking in a deep breath to try and steady his breathing. "I.. I don't want to.. to die.."

She was all ready to snap at him again but after hearing him out, that urge slowly dissapeared. She blinked a couple times, feeling her eyes get stingy. "You want everyone to hate you? Fine. It's your life, right? I don't give a shit. Listen, everyone's gonna die sooner or later and you're telling me that you just don't wanna the people you love to go thru that pain of losing you? That...you just don't want them to mourn..." Lilith took a deep breath, running a hand through her hair while she tried to figure out how to word what she was gonna say. "You can't escape those feelings. Everyone's gonna feel pain...or loss...hatred...in their life. All those things. Ya can't just pick to feel the good ones and block out the bad. It's inevitable."

Her hand reached out without her even realizing it and she placed it over Zane's comfortingly, her tone softening. "It's ok to show your emotions. Let people know how you're feeling every once in a while. I do it on a regular basis and just look how insanely awesome I turned out to be." Reaching out, Lilith cupped Zane's chin in her hand and turned his face so he was looking at her. She grinned at him. "Being scared is part of bing human. It's gonna be ok."

Zane stared silently into her eyes with his wet blue ones, fighting with every cell of him to keep from letting the tears spiling over. However, as he bit his lower lip, a tear escaped from each eye and he rose a hand to the back of her head, pulling her closer so he could press his forward against hers and take a deep breath. "Make it all better," he begged ever so quietly, his eyes closing as more tears came. "Please.. don't let it k-kill me.."

Lilith let her eyes desperately search his face. She did want to help him. He was crying for God's sake. And after everything, she could say that she understood him a little better, get where he was coming from. But she couldn't promise him something like that. She wasn't gonna sit here and lie to his face, even if that would somehow bring a smile to it. Instead she bit her lip too, screaming at her mind to not let her own tears fall. How would that look if they were both crying? One of them had to stay strong here and it obviously had to be her. "I...won't leave you", she finally got out after a while, casting her eyes to the floor. "Here in this hospital. I'll stay all night...however long you're in for." She looked back at him and reached up, not surprised to see her hand shaking, and brushed his tears away. Maybe it was the mood, or her sudden jolt of sympathy for him, or maybe it was something else entirely but Lilith suddenly wrapped her arms around him in a hug, closing her eyes too.

Zane desperately hugged her bck, practically cluthing her body for dear life. "B-But you hate m-me," he stammered as he buried his face in the crook of her neck, his body shaking as he sobbed silently. His heart ached in his chest, though it wasn't the familar aching of his timely death, it was more emotional, more.. alive.

He suddenly pulled away, his hands going to her shoulders to gently push her away from him as he looked away in shame again. "G-Go," he demanded weakly, refusing to drag her into his tradegy and depend on her. "I don't.. I don't want you to stay.."

Lilith blinked in confusion, letting her eyes shift from Zane to the wall, then the ceiling and back again. She let her eyes rest on him calmly, only telling herself that she would freak out on him if he kept saying it. She was suddenly aware of her heart beating, could hear it in her ears and everything. She leaned forward despite him pushing her away and narrowed her eyes. "Uh, what? So you seriously expect me to just leave now? Weren't you the one helplessly telling me to 'make it all better' not too long ago?" She didn't sound annoyed like she normally would--she found she wasn't in the mood for it--just a little tired. "And whoever said that I hated you?" she said under her breath as more of an afterthought.

[Zane Tapp]

Zane shrugged weakly, hesitantly meeting her eyes with his sad blue ones. "I dunno," he mumbled miserably. "I'm just... I'm a stubborn bastard," he admitted quietly, sighing as he lifted a hand to the back of her head and brought her forehead to his again. "I'd feel bad for making you stay.."

Her sudden anger slowly faded away when her forehead was leaning against his again and she no longer felt the need to scream at him. Instead Lilith met his stare, her light brown eyes never wavering. "Heh. Ya got that right", she grumbled with a sigh before closing her eyes. "The bastard part. It's my fault you're even in here right now. I can't just leave...So let me be a good person and I'll stay, get it?"

"Alright," he finally whispered, his fingers running lovingly through her hair as he closed his eyes as well, relaxing finally. "You might as well get comfortable then," he said as he reached over with his free hand to recline the bed, then placed his hand on her back and pulled her over top of him on the bed so she could lay on his chest.

Lilith stared down at him for a while before she layed against him, resting her head on his chest with a sigh. "I am sorry, you know", she mumbled, closing her eyes at his touch. "Maybe I shouldn't have kicked you like that...then again maybe you should've just let me heat my food up first", she said under her breath kind of jokingly.

[Zane Tapp]

He cracked a small smile, rubbing her back as he spoke softly, "Maybe you should have just admit to wanting me from the very beginning," he teased.

[Lilith Celejay]

"But lying doesn't get anybody anywhere", she muttered, opening her eyes so she could smirk in his face. She wasn't too fond of admitting things and that wasn't gonna change just cuz Zane asked her to. So she stayed quiet about that. "Though by all means, go ahead and tell me just how much you want me. I won't object. Might even make me a better person."

[Zane Tapp]

Zane hummed in thought, as if considering over what to tell her to get the best reaction. "Actually.. I do want you, a lot." He returned her confident smirk. "It's a shame the feeling isn't mutual."

[Lilith Celejay]

Of course it's mutual!! Are you blind?! She gasped out loud as soon as the thought crossed her mind and stared at Zane with a stunned look on her face. Lilith gulped, scrambling to get off of him as she sat back on the bed against the wall.

What the heck was she thinking? She didn't like him like that. He's just another dumb-ass, she told herself over and over.

Zane rose his hands to slip them under his head, looking up at her with an amused look in his eyes, her reaction telling him everything. "So.. when are you just gonna give in and kiss me?" he asked rather confidently.

[Lilith Celejay]

Lilith bit the inside of her cheek, wanting nothing more than to punch that confident look right off his face. She considered it, but figured she'd done him enough damage for one day. Instead, she pulled her knees to her chest and shot him a half amused, half irritated look. "Hasn't that already happened? So what does it tell you that I'm not coming back?" Her heart was slamming against her chest and she wondered for a split second if he could hear it. "Someone kinda suuuuuuuucks", she sing-songed with a smirk, making sure that it was steady.

[Zane Tapp]

Zane's smirk slowly widened as he watched and read her every expression. "Ya know.. word on the street is, I've gotten a lot better," he started to say as he pushed himself up onto his elbows. "Maybe you should find out and let me know what you think," he suggested as he rose a hand to the back of her head and pulled her face down closer to his as he leaned in until their lips brushed.

Lilith could feel her own smirk splay across her lips and her stomach jump. This isn't giving in, she told herself. It's just an apology. Subtly shaking her head, Lilith leaned into the kiss and closed her eyes. Too late to turn back now. She couldn't hold it back anymore. Dammit, she thought. "I'll be the judge of that but you better impress me", she said against him with a grin.

[Zane Tapp]

Zane grinned back at her before pulling her over top of him again and into a heated kiss, his hands both lifting to cup her cheeks. It was about time he finally got her to give in, finally worked his charm well enough. Girls like her were always the biggest turn on, always driving him insane with the long wait to get in their pants.

Lilith lifted a hand to his face too, smirking to herself while the other one slid down his chest and she nudged her hand under his shirt. It was pretty mean of her to lead him on since she had no intention of doing it anyway but she didn't wanna stop. "Wow, I can't believe it. You're not doing too bad, kiddo. Just keep up, huh?" she whispered, and slid her tongue in his mouth.

Zane's tongu instantly flicked at hers in responce, his one hand lowering to roam down her side now, feeling her every curve. "I'm hurt and in a hospital bed," he reminded her quietly in her ear after pulling away from their kiss. "You'll have to do all the work on top."

Lilith rolled her eyes but smirked and sat up so she was straddling him. "Look, I don't know about you but I at least have enough class to where I'm not gonna do it in a hospital bed. So, Sir Fucks A Lot, you are just gonna have to get outta here first." She patted his cheek with a smile.

[Zane Tapp]

Zane slowly narrowed his eyes at her, shifting slightly under her as he dropped his hands from her body and laid them behind his head again. "You better be worth the wait," he said with a wink.

[Lilith Celejay]

She frowned at him at first, like she couldn't really understand why he should even have to say that. "Well duh." Then, her face brightening to a smile, Lilith carefully got off of him and glanced at the clock on the wall. "So? You all better now? Can we leave?" She realized that the hospital scene was getting tiring and was anxious to get out.
