"I.... I needed too." Ryden whispered and looked down at the cut. It was small, but sorta deep. She grunted from the pain shooting up her arm. "DAMNIT!!!!" She shouted and tried to pull her arm from him

[Zane Tapp]

Zane frowned deeply, his grip only tightening on her arm, refusing to let go. "I'll clean it," he said, uickly grabbing a wash cloth with his free hand and wetting it under the sink. "Don't move," he warned before gently pressing the wet material against her cut to soak up the blood. Very slowly he put more pressure on it to stop the bleeding.

"DAMN. Zane stop!" She shouted and started to spaz. "Why are you doing this? Just let me. I got beat wehn i was little. I think i can handle a cut!" She hissed and gave him a glare.

[Zane Tapp]

Zane's eyes snapped to hers then, his expression hard and serious. "I'm not letting go of you," he seethed through gritted teeth, meaning so much by those words. "Cause if I turn my back for one second you'll probably just hurt yourself again."

"IT'S FUCKING NEEDED! I am so used to getting hurt." Ryden was now getting a little angry with Zane. "and I know you weren't going to hurt me so... I have to find some way.."

[Zane Tapp]

"I won't let you do this!" he shouted back at her, throwing her razor across the bathroom. "And I'll tell your boyfriend if you don't knock it off!"

"one you don't know him. And two..... FUCK YOU!" she sighed and sat on the floor. She brought her knees to her chest and and looked at the gash in her arm.

[Zane Tapp]

"You just did," he reminded her coldly, only angry because he cared. "How long have you been doing tihs for?"

[Ryden Hertz]

She sighed. "Why do you care anyways?" Ryden asked, her usual comeback

[Zane Tapp]

"Why wouldn't I care?" he shot back.

[Ryden Hertz]

"I dont' know. NO ONE ELSE DOES!" She shouted and looked around franticly. Her eyes finally set on the rasor and her hand darted for it.

Zane pulled the razor out of her reach, narrowing his eyes at her for the hundredth time. "STOP THIS!"

"NO! NOW GIVE ME THE RAZOR!" she shouted

"You're insane," he muttered flatly, pretending her screams were pointless. "Who in their right mind would do this to themselves? Do you enjoy cleaning up your own blood?"

[Ryden Hertz]

She sighed and looked down. "It's going to happen anyways. Better get used to it..." She whispered. She touched her face,feeling the tears fall down her cheeks. She whipeed them qiuckly and let her hands fall.

[Zane Tapp]

Zane chucked the razor across the bathroom, watching as the top snapped off when it hit the wall. "I'm not going to get used to anything along the lines of self injury," he grumbled, stepping closer to her and cupping her chin in his hand, tilting her head back so he had to look up at him and meet his eyes. "I've gone through a similar stage as you.. I know how.. how it hurts," he whispered, his tone more gentle now, caring and sincere. "But you're not alone.. there are thousands of other teenagers that are going through similar problems.. feeling the things you feel.. wishing for the love and acceptance that you're wishins for.." He smiled slightly, his other hand raising to wipe at her tears. "I'm here for you, Ryden.. you're not alone.. and you are loved."

She couldn't say anything. Those last words that Zane said to her, You. Are. Loved. She never heard those words said to her. Really never heard those words at all. She took a deep breath and looked back down. The tears kept falling. "I don't know how to cope. You don't need to deal with MY problems. Thats why they are mine. No one else should have to deal with them but me!" she looked at her arm. "I don't feel pain, it's like it never hurt at all..."

[Zane Tapp]

"I do have to deal with your problems," he said quickly, snaking one arm around her middle and pulling her body against his as he hugged her fiercly. "You're my friend Ryden, I care about you.. and I'm not going to let you suffer alone." He pressed his lips against her temple, holding them there as he thought of what he could possibly do to help her. "I want to make you feel loved.."

[Ryden Hertz]

She looked up t him; tears still running down her face. I. Want. To. Make. You. Feel. Loved. First time she heard that one too. "Why Zane? No one else does. Not Tyler, not her new boytoy.. Not Tony, or Ryan. Not anyone. So why do you? I mean, were only fuck buddies remember?" Ryden tried to laugh but she coughed lightly in stead. She let her head rest on his chest. She never though Zane, king of sex, would be comforting her right now. That's not like him at all. What's happening with him?

[Zane Tapp]

He grimaced, looking away for a moment before meeting her eyes again. "Just don't question it," he whispered, leaning in to kiss the tip of her nose. "Accept that I care.. just accept it, please."

[Ryden Hertz]

She looke at him and aighed. "If you can't gave me a reason as to why you care... I can't accept it..." Ryden got up and looked down at her arm. "You know it's going to keep happening right?"

[Zane Tapp]

"Then I'm gonna' keep yelling at you," he muttered in return, annoyed with her responce only because he actually did care. "You're hurting more than just yourself when you do things like this."

[Ryden Hertz]

"And who am i hurting huh? Not my mom that's for sure. And like Ryan and Tony care about me.." She sighed and walked to the door. "I'm sorry Zane, but your gonna have to just let me do this. I'm doing it for me.." She sighed and opened the bathroom door, sliding out the crack.

[Zane Tapp]

Zane followed instantly, reaching out and grabbing her good arm once they were in the bedroom. "What makes you want to do this?" he asked as he leaned in closer to her, tempted to kiss her, to take her to bed and kiss all her worries away.

[Ryden Hertz]

"What makes me what to do this? My mother. That's it! She hates the fact that she had me and the fact that i am not living with he ranymore. SHE WANTS ME DEAD ZANE. dead. I think this is getting me there. What do you think?" She sighed and just looked up at him. Something about him was different. He wasn't acting like his normal self. He cared, weird right?

[Zane Tapp]

"She wants you dead because she sees something in you that she never had," he told her, his tone soft and sincere as he stared into her eyes. "She's jealous.. she's insecure.. and hurting yourself is only helping her win this war. You have to rise above this, Ryden.. you have to live." He bit his lip, feeling himself get worked up. "You can't just throw away your life like this.. life is such a valuble thing.. you have no idea how lucky you are to have the chances that you have... to be able to grow old and fall in love and make cute little mini Ryden babies. Don't you want any of that? Don't you want to.. to live?"

[Ryden Hertz]

Ryden sighed. She was speechless, once again by the words of Zane. "I can't............. No one wants a sult as a wife." She whispered and now looked at him, locking eyes with his. "You know that... I'm never going to be a wife to someone. I mean, sure i'm going to have little mini Ryden babies, but i'm not going to know who the father is... That's what my life is, i just have to deal......" She looked at the floor now. "I'm ready to......... i'm ready for that life..."

[Zane Tapp]

"Are you kidding me?" He laughed, hard. "I can't think of a single guy that would be lucky enough to have such a beautiful wife as yourself." He placed his finger under her chin and forced her to look at him again. "It doesn't matter how many guys you've been with, because in the end.. you're gonna find the perfect one that will accept you for everything that you are and make love to you every single night of your lives." He leaned in to kiss her gently on the lips. "And hell, if I had the honor of living past 23, I'd be damn sure to be that guy."

She shook her head. "One, after a while sex just starts to be fuckin, not making love. And two, like you would ever settle down and become anyones husband..." She laughed and pushed away from him. "But thanks for the offer..." She smiled and kissed hsi cheek. "It was thoughtful"

Zane blinked once, giving her a look of disbelief as he folded his arms over his chest. "Ryden.. I was serious," he whispered, every part of him believing it too. "I would make you my wife in a heartbeat."
