Ari bit her lip and closed her eyes, hanging her head. "I don't know. I honestly have no fucking clue." Then, she looked back up at him. "We could make things okay. I mean, if you wanted to. We could work at it... heck, you go kiss some random girl if it will make this all better. I just... There has to be something we can do," she said desperately.

Ace studied her for a long time, taking a while to reply to that. "You'd honestly be okay with me kissing another girl?" he asked in surprise, cocking an eyebrow with her. "Wouldn't that just makes things worse?"

Ari chuckled darkly. "I don't think things can get worse..." She thought for a second. "Look... why don't we just... take a break for a while? Let things cool down.... take some time to sort things out before we both do something we both regret..."

Ace narrowed his eyes a little in thought. "You mean like.. break up?" he asked uncertainly, the thought completely blowing his mind. AT this point in their relationship, what was he without her?

Ari shook her head frantically. "No, I don't mean break up. I mean... take a break. You know... on hiatus for a while... try to let things cool before we start things back up again." She placed her hand on her forehead. "I don't know... I don't think I'm making any sense. I'm just blabbing like I normally do when I get nervous and I have no idea what on earth we're supposed to do in a situation like this!"

Ace shrugged. "Well I dunno either," he mumbled. "I didn't date that much before you anyway.." He got up, sighing heavily before getting up and going to stand in front of her, taking her hands in his. "What exactly does 'taking a break' mean?" he asked quietly, his eyes afraid. "Like no.. hanging out or kissing? If so, then it's no different from breaking up.."
((psst, she has to go completely thrugh with it if he's gonna go badass on us, hahha))

(I know... I just don't have the heart to go through with it! Alright... time for my meanie pants.)
Ari looked down at her hands. "Well then... I guess so. I mean... we need to take a few steps back and... reevaluate what's really going on between us. And if that means breaking up for a little while then... I guess that's what needs to happen." She cradled her head in her hands, crying. She sobered up and sighed. "What do you think?"

Ace frowned deeply, hesitantly reaching out to wipe at her tears with his thumbs. "I think.. if that's what you w-want.." he stammered, trailing off.

(*Sobbing* Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaace... I can't do it.... So sad...)
Ari took a deep breath and said the hardest thing she had ever had to said. "Yes, Ace. That's what I think we should do."
There, she said it. Though saying it hurt like hell, she knew that one day, they'd be back together. They just needed to take some time to step back and think before diving back in again. The feelings of abandonment and hurt swept over her, and she tried everything she could to not throw herself into Ace's arms and beg him to take her back.
She kept her eyes closed, knowing that if she did that, it wouldn't be good for either of them in the long run. But, her prior statement wasn't good enough. She took a deep breath and opened her eyes, looking into Ace's. "It's what I want."

Ace's eyes slowly widened, hardly able to believe his ears. Was she actually saying this? How could she want this? Where did he go wrong? Slowly stepping back away from her, Ace tore his gaze away from hers and turned abruptly, his movements stiff. "I.. I should go," he mumbled, heading for the door, wanting to get out of there before he snapped. Before he.. broke down. What goes going on with him? Why did she had to stab him in the heart like that? Why did this hurt so much?
((good job! hahaha.))

(I feel like such a bad person now... I'm gonna go save puppies or something...)
Ari saw him leave her. She saw it, but didn't exactly comprehend the implications. She was just... numb. She sagged to her knees, no longer having the strength to stand up. She started sobbing uncontrollably, muttering Ace's name over and over again. She hobbled over to the couch and climbed on, pulling herself into a ball and staring at nothing, lost in her own little world.

Amberleigh jogged in front of Ari's house and saw Ace coming out of the front door. He was hot, and Amberleigh was bored, so she thought she'd jog up to him. But, of course, not before ripping her sweaty shirt off her torso so she was in only shorts and a sports bra. She yanked her hair out of its messy pony tail and shook it, jogging up to him.
"Hey. I was wondering if you could help me- what's wrong?" she asked when she saw his expression.

Ace didn't even bother to look up at her, shrugging as he walked down the driveway to his cr, his shoulders hunched and his head hanging. "What do you want?" he asked quietly. "A ride or something?"

Ouch. Amber recoiled for a second, wondering if she should back off or not. "No, actually, you didn't look alright and I came to see if I could help in any way," she said, a little hostile.

Ace slowly lifted his head to look over at her, his eyes narrowing a bit defensively before he sighed heavily and just gave in. "I could use some weed," he admitted. "You have any I could buy? That would really help.."

(Wow... that's diving right in there, Marisa.. ) Amber looked at him skeptically. "No... but I've got alcohol at my house. You wanna come over? I'm an excellent bartender," she said, winking.

Ace thought for a moment, twirling his tongue around in his mouth thoughtfully. "Hmm.. I suppose that'd work," he mumbled n thought, completely oblivious to her wink. "I'm Ace, you?"
((haha, well he already smokes cigs, so I figured this wouldn't be TOO big of a step for him, haha))

Ace glanced down at her hand on his, blushing slightly, but not moving it away. "You really don't mind me hitting on your beer?" he asked shyly. "I kinda feel bad.."

Amber chuckled. "Don't make me laugh. I don't mind at all. And trust me, I don't think we'll be touching the beer today. You look like you need something a little stronger. Don't worry; I've got you covered," she said, beaming.

"You'll see," she said flirtatiously, leading him to a huge 3 story house. She opened up her garage and led him inside and downstairs to the basement. There was a rather large empty floor in front of them with speakers and a stereo system. To their left was an open bar with rows and rows of bottles placed sporadically in the back of the bar. Amber dropped his hand and walked over to the stereo system, turning on some dance music and turning the volume up high. She danced on over to the bar and took out two cups, filling them both to the brim with the first alcoholic beverage she could find- whiskey. Amber moved Ace's cup toward him and smiled seductively at him.
"Bottoms up," she said, downing her drink.

Ace looked down at the cup, taking a deep breath before downing the entire thing as well. "Woo," he breathed once finish, blinking his eyes rapidly. "That shit is strong. I can't believe your parents just leave it in the open like that."

Amber shrugged her shoulders. "Eh, they know I won't do anything too naughty. And besides, I've got a fake ID, so I just stock up before they get back and they're none the wiser." She looked down at her outfit and sighed. "You don't mind if I... slip into something more comfortable, do you?" she asked, refilling his cup.

"No, not at all," he said, blushing slightly as he looked over her body for the first time. "Were you working out or something?" he asked, leaning against the wall as he met her eyes, smiling slightly. "If so, I have my own personal gym at home. You're welcome to join me whenever."

Amber chuckled. "I might have to take you up on that offer. Now, be a good boy and refill that cup every time it's empty. You're gonna be good a drunk by the time I'm done with you." She sprinted up the stairs and into her room, throwing on a skin-tight tank top and short shorts. Amber grabbed her perfume and dabbed a little on her neck, throwing on a little lip gloss, and running about in her room to try to find something sexy to change into if things went as planned.

Ace slowly sipped at his cup as he waited, eyeing the alcohol a little uneasily. Did he really want to get drunk with this stranger? As soon as his thoughts wondered to Ari, Ace threw all sense out the window and chugged the rest of the cup down, going to pour himself another because he knew how hard it was to get himself drunk since he was such a heavy weight. Sipping from his cup here and there, growing used to the strong taste, Ace gazed upon her parents collect, amazed by some of the years on the wine bottles.
