Travis drew in a breath before he knocked on the door. He had no idea what he was going to say to Crysta now that his memory was starting to come back. And even worse, he was starting to feel.. guilty. Which was a weird, alien emotion to him since he forgot a lot. He finally drew the strength to knock lightly on her door, hoping she wouldn't hear or wouldn't be home so he could just leave.

Crysta was on thecouch with a bottle of root beer, black sweatpants on, that were pushed up to her knees, a red tank top on, that showed bits of her tattoo on her back, and chest. She heard the door and walked to open it. "Yea?" She asked then saw it was travis

He sighed, a little nervous. "I think I'm starting to remember things... And I was hoping that things were cool with us.." he finally said reluctantly.

He looked down at the ground, shoving his hands in his pockets. He scuffed at the ground with his shoe, biting his lip. "That's... good." He looked up at her. "Hey, do you have Ashley's number?" he asked, having no memory of Ashley's death. "My cell phone deleted all the numbers when I dropped it in a puddle.. and I need to talk to her."

He smirked. "Yeah okay," he replied with a laugh and a slight roll of his eyes. "Look, I'll call Ace now, and he'll tell me the truth." He took out his phone and started dialing his number. Ring ring ring...

Ace reached into his sports locker as he heard his phone buzz and flipped it open. "Hello?"

"Hey, Ace, what's up? Hey, listen, this might seem really stupid, but Crysta here is trying to tell me Ashley's dead." He laughed. "How about you clear things up and tell her that Ashley's absolutely fine?"

Ace's mouth went dry at his words. "I.. umm.." he hesistated, not sure what or even how to say it. " I can't... do that.." his voice trailed off, barely audible to begin with.

Travis froze. "What?" he finally got out, taking a few steps back as if recovering from a physical blow.

Ace stayed silent for a moment as he leaned against the lockers. "The day you woke up in the hospital," he whispered. "She left and..." he sighed heavily. "Can I meet you some where?"

"K, good idea," he said quietly, closing his phone and jogging across Crysta's lawn. He got on his motorcycle and drove to the park, then started walking through the woods to the tree house.

Ace had arrived a moment before Travis and climbed up the tall tree. He sat on the edege of the tree house, what seemed to represent a porch in their old childhood design. He spotted Travis in the distance as his feet dangled freely and Ace gave a silent little wave.

Travis waved back and jogged the rest of the way. He climbed up and sat down next to Ace, not sure he wanted to know the truth, so he just remained silent.

Ace also remained silent for a long while and then let out a sigh. "It happened the day we came to visit you in the hospital," he finally spoke.

Travis reached up and snapped a branch off of the tree and started fiddling with it. "What happened? What are you talking about?" he asked, still in denial. "Is it something I should be hearing from her? Is she in the hospital or what?"

Ace struggled with what words to use and figured there was no way of getting around this easily. "Ashley was in a motocycle accident," he explained. "Crysta wasn't lying to you."

Ace gave him a grim look and scrooled down to Ashley's number. Putting it on speaker, he pressed call and waited as it began to ring.

"I've already told you why she won't pick up," Ace snapped at him, losing his temper a tad. He shoved his phone back into his jacet pocket.
