He sighed, stepping back from her and dropping his hand to his side. He flashed her a lopsided smile and shook his head. "No, you're right. Cute doesn't do it justice, really. I guess it's more like adorable or refreshing." That last word made him raise his eyebrow. Did I really say that? he wondered and rolled his eyes.

Inari skated out to the middle of the rink, her hands behind her back as she glided across the floor, wind singing through her hair. She smiled. She'd always loved roller rinks and the feeling of moving effortlessly across the floor without having to move your feet. She skated in a wide circle, starting to weave back and forth in smaller circles and then spinning on one foot.

As Jayk skated onto the rink, he fell right off the bat. He sighed. "Why am i even here..." His best friend Isabella just looked at him. "You're a cluts... you know that right?" She laughed and glided away, as she fround her friend.
"THANKS A LOT BEST FRIEND!" He shouted to her and sighed, trying to get off his butt. He rolled over to the wall. "That's all i gottt!" He whispered as he just laid on the right side of the rink.

Hearing a kind of commotion, Inari looked over to see a guy who looked like he hadn't even taken two steps inside the rink and was already on his ass. She smiled a bit before coming over to him, stopping at the wall. "You're...terrible", she told him but not in a mean way. She was just stating a fact.

She grinned some and leaned against the wall, putting her arms behind her back. "Well...during pregnancy, my mom told me that I pretty much beat her up every single day. Said it was like an army just attacking the inside of her stomach." She looked up at Jayk and giggled quietly. "And the closest thing she could come to from 'army' was Inari." She laughed again but this time in embarrassment.

He looked at her with a smile. "Aw, I get that.. Well i mean my mom was in labor with me for like 15 hours... But my name has nothing to do with that.." He laughed. "My mom just liked the name Jayk, and when my dad gave the nurse the name, he spelt it like it sounded, JAY-K."

Inari stopped circling around him and just gave him a small smile that steadily grew into a bigger one but not by much. She giggled. "Oh cool. I've never been called that before...I guess shit can be cool?" she tried, peeking up at Jayk through her bangs. She gave an unsure smile but laughed anyway.

She giggled as she pulled him along but not too fast so he wouldn't fall again. "I don't blame her. It's true that it's fun to see you hurt yourself", she said quietly with a light laugh. "It might be fun to see me hurt myself too..." Inari said as an after thought.

Inari couldn't help but giggle while she pulled Jayk to the opening leading out of the rink. "My mom taught me. She wanted me to become a professional ice skater, actually. But the ice rink is....well icy", she finished lamely for lack of a better word. "And I was eight. I was terrified", she giggled. "So this was my next best option."
