She kept her eyes on the sky and gave him a little cynical snicker. “ Zane, please I’m not that stupid.” she turned to face him and pulled away from his arm. “ I know that Isabella has a thing for you… and you know that too. You can't keep running away from that. Its just not right. So why not just give in to her? Coming here and forgetting about it, just wont work.” She smiled and reached over to mess up his hair. " Silly boy..."

"I don't want to talk about that," he said immediently, his tone turning sour as he leaned away from her hand that messed up his precious hair. "Why can't we just focus on the here and now? The you and me?"

She rolled her eyes and laid on her back. " The here and now? The you and me?" she asked mocking the same tone he'd used. " The you and me... I was sure that ended years ago... not sure there was actually ever a you and me..." shemumbled the last part and closed her eyes.

Zane looked down at her, his expression lightening a little. "Hey," he breathed before rolling over top of her, holding himself up oer her with his elbows. "Why not make a you and me right now?"

She didn't bother opening her eyes to look at him, why even make him feel like he deserved that. " Please... go use your lines on someone that will actually believe them.." Finally openening her eyes, she winked at him and kissed his cheek. She pushed him off and messed his hair up. " You'll have to try a little harder then that.."

Zane laid onhis side in the grass, crinkling his nose at her as he attempted to fix his hair. "Since when did you get so good at resisting me?" he asked playfully.

She thought about that and playfully rolled her eyes. " I dont know since you started maybe hooking up with Isa?" she smirked and gave him a look.

[Zane Tapp]

"Isa has a place in my heart," he admitted, keeping his tone light and low. "A part of my heart that will always do its best not to hurt her.. but.." He bit his lip, gazing down at her for a moment before looking away. "You do to.. you always have."

He sighed, realizing how much of an ass he's been to her all night; realizing that he should be content with the time he's able to spend with her. "I'm not trying to get laid to night.. nor tomorrow night.. or even for the next week. I've missed you Meia, I really have. I miss spending time with you.. I miss our inside jokes.. our memories. I miss the sound of your voice, your scent, your smile, your eyes, your amazing personality," he rated continiously. "And more than anything... I miss holding you in my arms.. kissing you gently."

He reached up and ran a hand through his hair, refraining from touching her since she's made it obvious she didn't want that. "You're not just another girl to mess around with.. you're Meia.. good ol Meia."

He cracked a smile, a shy and dashing smile. "Sorry for coming on so strong." He rolled onto his back and put his hands behind his head, looking up at the stairs as well. "Let's just enjoy the time we have together here. No more pushy Zane. Pushy Zane does not exsist anymore."

And only then did she lighten up. " Seee! I knew you had it in you to be honest... I am pretty awesome arent I.." she smirked trying to sound cocky. "... But im glad you think you've missed me. Makes me think I am capable of being memorable... you know?" she rubbled his tummy and layed on her back trying to take the same possition he had take, but made it look so awkward. " Dont fall asleep..."

"I'm not falling asleep," he hummed, though his eyes were slowly dropping. "You should.. keep rubbing my belly," he mumbled, the skin beneath his shirt tingling where she had touched him.

She sat up, ignoring his request and looked at him with excitement. " You know what I'm in the mood for... ICE CREAM!!! Lets go get some... Like now..." she smiled and started pulling on his shirt.

Zane grimaced, but got up, reaching out to hold her hand. "Lead the way young lady," he told her, smiling slightly. "What's your favorite kind anyway?"

She took his hand and started towards her car, but stoped in her tracks. " This tree wasn't there..." she mumbled trying to avoid him. She tried to look around very smoothly and giggled after a while. " ugh.. this will make a great story in the future you know." finally looking up at him.

Zane slowly smiled at her, complete confused. "I have absolutely no idea what you're talking about," he said with a chuckle. "Seriously."

She shrugged and let him go. " Its okay.. most people dont... " she giggled and started walking looking back at him. " hurry up silly... and dont get lost... oh wait tooooo llllaaatttteee!" she dragged out the word but just then her heel got stuck in the dirt trail. " ugh... THESE WERE MY FAVORITE!!!! ZANE!!!"
