Zane twirled the keys to his house as walked up to the front porch. "He's probably waiting at the door," he said, opening the door. Like he had guessed the little gray cat was sitting by the door and looked up at him with big yellow eyes. "Hey there Cali," he said.

Zane reached down to pet his head and motioned for both of them to follow him to the kitchen. Once there, he pulled out a thing of cat food from the cabnit and poured it into his bowl. "There ya go," he murmured, rubbing his back as the cat leaned over to eat.
