He gave her an exaggerated smile. "Oh nothing, Eve. Nothing at all. Just that five years ago, we were playing in the woods and I told you I was getting bored and wanted to go back but YOU refused to come with me and stayed there like a bratty little kid until about an hour later, I heard you screaming for me to come get you. THAT...is what I mean by that."

"I didnt need your help okay... if thats what your thinking. " she thought about what to say. "I missed you that was all..." she winked at him. "yeah thats it... I missed you an thats why i called for you..." she smirked, she bearly broght that one around.

"Uh huh. You were scared", he said with a conceited smirk.

[Eve Cayhill]

"dont 'uh huh' me... you were the one who was scared... yeah that was you... you were scared of lossing me..just admit it!" she smirked.

"Uh...what?!" Crash had to laugh. "That is NOT what happened, love. I was scared that...uh...that...you were gonna starve, k? Not that I was gonna lose you."

"DENIAL!!!!!" she shouted. "You know you LOVE me and you would be very upset if you lost me!"she walked closer and kissed his nose, then giggled.

He blinked, blushing some and then scowled and looked down. "EVE!" he snapped. "Look what you made me do!"

she loked at him. "I made you blush..." she then kissed him again lightly on the lips this time and turned away. He was going to yell at her, she knew it but she didnt care.

Crash stood frozen for a second, his mind trying to wrap around what just happened. It shouldn't...be happening like this..."What the hell!!" he snapped, clenching his hands into fists. "Eve, you can't just...I mean, you like...that...Joey guy! Right?! You do like that guy, right?!"

she smirked. "I don't know..." she answered. " I know it was wrong... but...." she looked down.

He stared at her for a long time, his instinct telling him what he wanted to do...what he shouldn't do but...he couldn't help it and stepped closer to her, lifting her chin in his fingers and also giving her a soft kiss.

She closed her eyes and kissed him back. She felt the exact same way she had all those years ago. she placed a hand on his chest and wanted to push him away but just couldnt do it.

Crash's sense of reason was killed. Destroyed to smithereens like a canon had shot thru them. All he could think about was Eve and only her as he wrapped his arms around her waist.

she moved her hand from his chest and slowly placed it on his shoulders. she caressed his neck as she deepened the kiss.

He shivered a little from her touch and grinned against her. It was exactly as he remembered...her kiss...He kept one arm around her waist while the other wandered in her hair. He could feel his heart ramming against his chest and throat.

She didnt wanna let him go. She knew damn well she had to, she didnt care why. But she didnt want to. She felt so happy when she was with him. She felt protected, and everything was okay with the world when she was with him. But she knew just like everything it had to end.

Crash soon broke away and sighed, closing his eyes and resting his forehead against her's. "Eve", he muttered. "What do we do?"

She closed her eyes. "Im sorry..." was all she could think to say. she didnt mean it, but maybe it was what he wanted to hear.

"..." Crash didn't know what to say. Like hell he was apologizing too. He sighed and ran a hand thru his hair. "Eve...do you still love me?"

" Crash Bandicoot.... I never stoped loving you... I cant do it... as much as i try. I just cant do it." she sighed. " But tell me you dont love me... and I'll leave... I will.."

He sighed and shook his head, looking into her eyes as they searched her face. "That's also something I can't do. I've always loved you...always...and that's never gonna change. Ever. It just won't." He knew it was probably best to tell her that he didn't love her, to lie to her so things could go back to normal. But he swore to himself he would never lie again. He just couldn't.

She took a step back. "well... Than... Should this have happened. Crash... This shouldn't have happened right?" she sighed.

Clenching his hands into fists, he took a deep breath, then let it out shakily. He turned away from her, his back to her and muttered "You tell me. Did you want this to happen?"

She looked down and thought about what she wanted to say. "I won't lie anymore. I did want it, Crash I wanted ut more than anything. But what I want doesn't really matter. What do you what? What about...Kyra?" she asked.

[Crash Bandicoot]

At the mention of her name, Crash winced. Kyra...all he ever did was hurt her. But...he'd warned her. Told her this was bound to happen. "I...I don't know", he finally muttered. Looking back at Eve, he narrowed his eyes slightly. "What about Joey?"

She sighed. "I broke his heart... I am such a bitch..." she hated herself for what she had done to him. "but we're friends now... And I still love him.... But..." she stoped

He didn't bother telling her she wasn't a bitch because he thought so too still but he raised his eyebrows when she stopped talking. "But...?"

she turned her back on him. "but I should go... Because that's what.." she sighed. "because ut the right thing to do.." she headed for the door.

He wanted to reach out to her, wanted to grab her hand and make her stay but what would that accomplish? Absolutely nothing. So he did what he thought was best and just let her go. Besides...he knew that was the right thing too. "...Bye, Eve." Crash turned on his heel and went to the kitchen.

She turned around and looked at him and smiled. "bye Crash..." she walked out his house and headed to the park. She couldn't believe what had happened. "I messed up... Badly.." she shighed. She reached the park and sat on the swings.
