He kept on looking and came upon the tree where he heard a muffled whisper. He looked behind it to see her there. "Eve?...what's the matter? Why did you run away from me?"

She didnt look up, she didnt move. After a while she got up and look at him "I lied..." she whispered and looked away. "I cant do this anymore.." she turned around and began to walk away.

She turned around " Yes Joseph! I lied to you about everything! okay... everything I ever said to you was a lie..." she felt to her knees. She was a terrable actress and even worse at lying.

He felt a aching pain in his stomach but tried hard to ignore it. "So what? You went out with me as a joke? Was it fun?" he asked feeling anger overcome sadness at the moment.

He looked down and shoved his hands into his pockets. Her words hurt like hell but he didn't want to be a victim is a situation like this. "You could have said so earlier.." he muttered and turned to walk away.

She let out a soft whimper. It hurt her even more doing it. To joey the guy she was being to actually love. She looked down and turn to the tree. She was crying by now, hoping he wouldnt turn around to see her.

He stopped for a moment trying to see whether this was real or maybe he was just dreaming.. He turned around and heard a whimpering . When he turned around fully he could see it was Eve.

Eve keeped walking no longer wanting to dig herself into a deeper hole than the one she was already in. She didnt want him to hate her more. Hell she hated herself now, more than ever.

From where he stood, he could hear her muffled sobs and began walking and soon enough running towards her to wrap his arms around her tiny form in a comforting embrace. "It's okay.." he said soothingly.

She hid her face in his chest. "No... Joseph... no its not okay...." she mumbled. "What i did is not okay..." she sobbed.

He tried to smile and calm her down the best he could. He held onto her tighter and put his head against hers. "You sound like my mother when you call me Joseph." he said hoping to lighten up the tension. "..so did you mean any of it?"

He could tell it was probably just going to end there. She wasn't even calling him Joey and that wasn't a good sign. If it was going to lead to heart ache, he wasn't sure how much more he'd want to take. "..but what..?" he asked finally, his hold on her loosening until his arms finally fell to his sides.

"Thank you for telling me the truth.." he said and smiled weakly. He wasn't sure if he could believe that she loved him., but the fact that she said it was enough to warm his heart even if only a little. "I understand.."
