He thought a bit deeper but wasn't sure whether it was something he could say easily. "There was this one time in the sixth grade. I had this huge crush on a girl named Dorothy. But she barely knew I existed. So one day when we got off the bus, I attempted to actually talk to her..so when I mustered up the courage too, it immediatly just started going downhill.." he stopped for a moment remembering the memory.
"So I just left and the next day a bunch of guys told me that I should talk to her again that night up by the mountains. It turns out they just wanted to humiliate me and so I went up there and she wasn't even there. They tried to beat me up and I tried to fight back. I knew I'd lose but I was just so angry and ended up pushing on of the guys right off the side of the cliff. He never came back up, so I ran."

He wanted to ask her more. Like why she would try to kill herself? Or what she was thinking. But he didn't want to overload her with questions. Instead he squeezed her hand lightly so she'd know he was listening.

His face was blank but on the inside his stomache felt like it was churning and being punched a million times. He didn't expect to hear something like that. It took him a while before he regained feeling in his body and he jerked forward hugging her in the process.

she wasnt expecting a reaction like this. It took her mind a while to regester what was happending, but when it did all she could do was to hug him back. she could feel the sudden pain in her stomach.
